Lachlan R. Dale is a Sydney-based musician, artist, and label & events manager working in experimental and Eastern classical music.
Musically, Lachlan explores hypnotic odd-metred rhythms, ritual drone, and modal traditions from Central and South Asia. Performing on guitar and the Afghan rubab, his work bridges cinematic composition with classical and folk music from Afghanistan, Iran, and beyond.
He runs the record labels Art As Catharsis and Worlds Within Worlds, and performs in Hashshashin, Black Aleph, Arya Ensemble, and as Lachlan R. Dale.
