Lachlan is a musician based in Melbourne, Australia whose music explores hypnotic rhythms, ritual drone, cinematic composition, and Afghan classical music.

Originally a guitarist, in recent years Lachlan has been engaging with classical and folk music from the East through the Afghan rubab, Persian setar and the Pamiri Setor.

Since 2018, Lachlan has been exploring Afghan folk and classical music on the rubab, the national instrument of Afghanistan. He has increasingly engaged in community, charitable and musical projects with Afghan, Iranian, Syrian, Pakistani and Indian musicians.

He currently performs with Hashshashin, Black Aleph, Arya Ensemble, and solo under his own name. Previously, he has played with Serious Beak, Adrift For Days, The Isolation Tapes and various others.
